Developing a simple Business
Card or Post Card
In Microsoft Word, left click on TOOLS.
In the drop down menu, left click on ENVELOPES AND LABELS.
At the Envelope/Labels window, left click on LABELS.
At the Labels window, left click on OPTIONS.
Using the up and down arrows in the Label Options window, scroll
through the PRODUCT NUMBER list to the type of document/stock number
desired.
Left click on the document/stock number of your choice to "highlight"
it.
Once your selection is highlighted, left click OK.
At the Labels window, left click NEW DOCUMENT.
The type of document you have selected appears on the screen and
you are ready to begin creating your masterpiece!
If the gridlines (showing where the individual cards begin and
end) for the type of document you've chosen do not appear on the
screen, left click on TABLE. In the drop down menu, left click on
SHOW GRIDLINES.
TEXT: Type the information you wish to include. Change the appearance
of text
with the FORMAT commands that appear on your TOOL BAR (Font Type,
Font Size, Bold, Italics, Alignment, etc.)
WORDART AND PICTURES: Left click on the INSERT menu, left click
PICTURE,
then left click on item of your choice. You may also insert other
graphics and types of pictures also depending on what you have on
file.
Practice, have fun with it, don't be afraid to make a mistake ---
there's always the UNDO button!
